This is a Basset hound.

The long, swingy ears.
Note the short legs.
The large feet.
Note the colors. Brown, white, black....
Please observe than I am standing, three-legged on a table. This is the picanic table and I can still jump up there and down again, altho down is a little scarey.
This is a Basset Hound.
Observe the undignified, goofy upside-down position and the tongue sticking out. This is a typical Basset position. It is a Rub-My-Tummy position. Many Bassets assume this position almost automatically, tripping humans as the Bassets fling themselves, shamelessly, belly-up in front of moving human targets who seem to think this is "cute".
This is me. Do I look as though I would let you rub my tummy?
Do you want to try to roll me over to rub my tummy?
Let me tell you this:
No.
Don't bother. If you try, count your fingers first and then afterwards. I bet the count won't match.
Just thought I would let you all know the
differences between Basset hounds and Belgian Sheepdogs.
Just in case you were confused. Just in case.
Thank you. Champion Midnight Acres High Noon, HCT (aka "Cooper")
Ahhh Cooper...you're not scary...you're BEAUTIFUL!! Though, I do see the difference!
ReplyDeleteMr. Cooper Sir, we love you just as much as we love the goofy bassets.
